We Volunteer Because It Makes A Difference
Healthy communities depend on volunteers. Volunteerism can be one of the most fulfilling experiences an individual can encounter and it usually has some personal meaning for the individual. By volunteering you not only make a direct impact on the people. But the impact goes beyond the obvious fact that you are helping people – You are also providing HOPE. One of the most essential things that all people need is connection. When you volunteer, you provide that for others and yourself too.
We encourage and invite volunteers to be an active part of Nirnayam and share the same vision and purpose as us – to work for the welfare of the underprivileged girl child of our society by helping them in their academics and providing life skills based education and thereby enabling them to make wise decisions and lead an enriching life.
Volunteers are the backbone of every organization, they not only carry the organization’s ideals within them, but also sensitize the society towards the cause. Unless members of the society are involved proactively in the process of development sustainable change does not happen.
If you can commit and give one hour after school hours – twice a week (preferably), willing to help the girls with their assignments and able to motivate them and above all have patience and kindness, then, you are the person!
If you can impart any skills as part of the UBU and MESH – a life skill based learning program or be a part of the administrative team, we would love to have you on board.
We believe you are the advocates and champions who contribute valuable time and energy to bring lasting change in the lives of the children through individual and collective action. Thus volunteering opportunities are designed in a meaningful way that reflect the needs, abilities and background of the volunteer and the organisation.
